Mission Action Plan (MAP)
Our Mission Action Plan for 2008-2009
is to focus particularly on 'growing our church membership and developing
the spiritual life of our various congregations' by:-
| Summer 2008 |
set up umbrella group representing all churches
within team ministry to plan for a successful 'Back to Church' Sunday
|
| Autumn 2008 |
heavily promote 'Back to Church' Sunday and
use it (together with the Harvest Festival and Supper the following
weekend) to kick-start our growth.
sustain and promote our parish and diocesan
teaching and learning programmes
strengthen and grow our existing visiting
teams (new residents, baptisms etc.)
focus on how we welcome and follow-up with
new members of our congregation (incl. the role of our sidespeople)
|
| Winter 2009 |
revise our current 'welcome packs' to ensure
that they are appropriate to current needs - including more overt
publicity
reviewing existing pastoral care systems -
ensuring that they encompass all connected with the church
|
| Spring 2009 |
review and refresh monthly all age 'Jubilate'
worship and youth services to ensure they are suited to the needs
of those attending (incl. participation)

review of MAP |
For
2009-2010 we believe God is calling us to focus particularly on:
'nurturing
all those in the 18 - 30 years age group'
For 2010-2011* our focus will probably be:
'stewardship
and self sufficiency - to achieve being able to afford 3 full-time stipendiary
priests'
*These
key objectives are not 'set in stone' and may need to change in the light
of changing circumstances
This
was presented to our area bishop during the Eucharist at Caritas 08 on
Saturday 21st June 2008 at The Brighton Centre
